Spring 2025

My name is Cadence McKenzie and I am the spring intern at Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas, a compassionate CNA (certified nursing assistant), and dedicated pre-physician assistant pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Biology at the University of Arkansas. I am committed to advancing my career in medicine, and I currently hold a CNA position at Mana Family Medicine South in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have a passion for all things people, healthcare, nutrition, and fitness!
I was born and raised in Heber Springs, Arkansas and I am very connected to my faith, family, and my community. I hope to continue to serve others in the state of Arkansas after physician assistant school. Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Willie Nelson, as well as my friends and family. I am especially excited about this internship and look forward to gaining valuable experience!
