Comforting Hands

We are so sorry for your loss.

Even if your child/family member is no longer with us, you are still part of this DSCNWA tribe!  Your child was loved.  Your child is missed.  You were, are and will always be part of our tribe.  You are a parent of a child with Down syndrome.

A member of our organization would like to attend any services that are planned for your child.  Please let us know details.

Coping With Loss: Down Syndrome

A book by Nancy McCrea Iannone and Stephanie Hall Meredith- free download

"This book was created to help you in your darkest hour. It won’t take away your pain or loss, but we hope it will give you some information that may be otherwise difficult to find—information that can help you make decisions now that may later give you some comfort. This book will also give voice to new guides—parents who have experienced the same searing pain, who have committed to and embraced the journey of parenting a child with Down syndrome only to be unwillingly placed on a different path. We hope their words will resonate with you. You are not alone."
